REWIRED.......Was a studio project. Nothing more, nothing less.
Of course it had been brought about, due to the fact that me and my partner in crime, Bert Davis, were bother by the WIRED demo being as poorly produced as it was.
So one day Bert came to me and said, "I think we should do all the WIRED songs over". He knew at the time that I had been doing recordings with hired guns (musicians who will play for money). So he wanted me to put a band together and record the songs that we did as WIRED over, but the key here was that, he didn't want to be involved with the whole recording process. So this was a chance to make the songs breathe life, like they could have.
Since Bert wasn't involved in the process, there were musical liberties taken, my singing, and the way the songs were played. Some of the songs have different twists, but still the songs sound better sonically than the original demo.
I was chastised, that I let this happen, by Bert and people who knew the original WIRED songs, but I thought it was all warranted because the songs were older; so was I, and I welcomed taking chances.
So I like the way it came out. New life was brought to old songs, It was an experiment, but depending who you talk to, there are mixed opinions.
