Rocker N Suite
From “Demon Witch” I kept busy with music as well as a multitude of jobs. I wanted to work on songs, put bands together and do it all over again, but it didn’t happen that way.
Understand that in all the bands and projects before “Wired”, I had always been known as “Mike Rocker”. That name was given to me by one “Stanley Shaw”. But most people knew him as “Buff”. He was a drummer and I was a singer. We had been in several projects together, nothing that saw the light of day.
I started working on another project months later, we decided to call this “Rocker ‘N’ Suite”. My partner in crime this time was “Mr. Suite” or “Keith”. Keith had written a few songs, no words and I proceeded to help arrange the songs as well as providing the lyrics and melody lines. We worked on a lot of songs, the goal was to go into the studio. We went in the Studio with about seven songs, when the smoke had cleared we had written and recorded 14 songs.
If I were to say one think about this project, we did push each other and created different songs. We had 14 songs that were different from each other, this was a goal in which I really wanted to achieve.
The creative juices were really flowing, we left the studio with still 6 songs not recorded, unfortunately my partner in crime decided to copy write the songs without putting my name on them. Why people do the things they do, maybe someday those songs will see the light of day but for now they collect dust on reels and dat’s. A travesty of justice.
